FOOD & DRINK
In Pembrokeshire, food tastes like the place - fresh, unpretentious, and rooted in what’s local. Whether it’s wood-fired pizza after a day at the beach or comfort food shared by candlelight, meals here are moments to savour. These are a few of our favourites:
Grain, St Davids
Tucked away in the heart of Britain’s smallest city, Grain serves up craft pizzas and local brews with a relaxed, buzzy atmosphere. A favourite for laid-back lunch or evenings with muddy boots under the table and dogs dozing at your feet.
Waldo's Lounge, Haverfordwest
Warm, casual and always welcoming - Waldo’s has become a local staple for a reason. Expect generous plates, thoughtful vegetarian options, good coffee and cake, plus a space that feels lived-in and loved.
The Cresselly Arms, Cresswell Quay
A pub like they used to be - low ceilings, flagstone floors, ale served from the barrel. Sit outside by the river and order street food from Feast on summer evenings. It’s the kind of place where stories stretch late into the night.
The Forbidden Florist
Haverfordwest - Unexpected, stylish, and full of personality - part café, part bar, part beautifully curated space. Think brunch boards, cocktails, good coffee, and a design-led interior that feels like a little secret you’re glad you found.
Red Onion Garden Cafe
Near Fishguard - Focuses on homemade quality food from homegrown and local ingredients. Choose from eating in the cafe, garden or styled polytunnels, for an unusual and memorable lunch or themed evening dinner.
Tafarn Zinc, Rosebush
A community owned, traditional Welsh pub, where meals are freshly cooked and locally sourced, alongside locally-brewed casked ales. It’s a little gem, lost in time, with sawdust on the floor.
The Lost Coins, Haverfordwest
A 25 minute walk takes you to our local family and dog friendly pub, offering relaxed, reasonably priced restaurant-style dining between 11:30 am and 9:00pm.
Pointz Castle Ice Cream, Pen-Y-Cwm
A countryside escape on the farm for ice cream, drinks, homemade bakes, crafts and gifts. Imagine the creamiest ice cream and you won’t be disappointed!
The Really Wild Emporium, St Davids
A fast growing, multi-faceted and multi award-winning business that puts the WILD, sustainability and the environment at the centre. Whether you’re interested in dining with them, finding out more about their natural soap and skincare products or going on a foraging course. With bare wooden floors, original stained glass windows, quirky lighting and a corrugated iron counter; the small rustic restaurant is a welcoming space to enjoy ‘Really Wild’ food and drinks.
