SUN. SAND. SOLITUDE.
Pembrokeshire’s beaches are more than just places to sunbathe - they’re windswept canvases of sky and tide, framed by cliffs, dunes, and salt air. Here are a few of our favourites - each one a little different, all of them unforgettable.
Newgale
Two miles of sand and sea, backed by a wall of smooth storm-built pebbles. It’s a favourite with surfers, dog walkers and kite-flyers — the kind of beach where the horizon feels wider. Park up, breathe in, and let the day unfold. Seasonal dog restrictions apply (May–Sept).
Broad Haven South
From the National Trust car park there's a short walk down to the golden sand, expanse of sea water, and the iconic Church Rock rising from the bay - it’s wild, beautiful, and just sheltered enough for a day with the kids. Dogs are welcome all year.
Barafundle Bay
Regularly named among the UK’s most beautiful beaches - and with good reason. Accessible only by foot across the headland from Stackpole Quay, Barafundle is quiet, unspoiled and almost otherworldly. Soft sand, clear water, no facilities - and that’s exactly the charm. Dogs are welcome all year.
Angle Bay
Quiet, tidal and full of character, Angle is perfect for peaceful days, shoreline wandering and birdwatching. When the tide is out, the estuary opens up to reveal mudflats and seaweed-covered rocks - a paradise for curious children and dogs with salty noses. Dog-friendly all year and easily accessible. It makes for a perfect day out with a visit to Wavecrest cafe - we highly recommend their cheesecake!
come for the view. stay for the stillness. leave with sand in your shoes.
