A short drive away, Newgale Beach is perfect for sandcastles, rock pooling, bodyboarding, kayaking or letting your dog run free. Nearby Solva offers crabbing, ice cream and scenic coastal walks, while St Davids - the UK’s smallest city-charms with its cathedral, independent shops and cosy cafés.

Younger children can enjoy Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo with vintage rides, a petting barn and exotic animals. Close to The Long Barn, Hangar 5 trampoline park is a great indoor outlet, while Clerkenhill Adventure Farm and Heatherton provide year-round family fun.

For wildlife lovers, boat trips from Martins Haven or St Justinians offer the chance to see puffins, seals, and even dolphins when the conditions are right - adding a magical touch to your holiday experience.Our favourite trip is from Martin’s Haven to Skomer Island to see the bluebells and puffins - but make sure you book well in advance, to ensure you’re not disappointed.

And for those seeking quieter moments, Pembrokeshire has plenty to offer. Spend a leisurely afternoon wandering around the lily ponds at Stackpole, followed by a visit to the idyllic Barafundle Bay.
